Pippin is the lively coming of age story of King Charlemagne’s oldest son. Featuring music from the award-winning composer of Wicked and Godspell, this dazzlingly colorful and imaginative tale first captivated audiences on Broadway and continues to appeal to the young-at-heart everywhere. Pippin is the story of Prince Pippin’s quest to find personal significance. The Leading Player, (originally played on Broadway by Ben Vereen) guides Pippin through the trials of war, love, and politics - away from the wealth and privilege of royal life. Falling in love with a good widow, Catherine, Pippin must resist the advice of the Leading Player who tries to convince him that life is not worth living and instead choose a simple life.
