Our lighting system is well over 40 years old. We have been fixing it every season, every show and this summer Hurricane Irene gave it a fatal kiss. Due to it's age we can no longer find parts and need to buy a new system. This is costing approximately $40,000. PLEASE help!

Five years ago the current board took over an aging in debt building and theatre. With many angels we have managed to fix the roof, walls, mold and many other problems. Our lighting system has given us problems from the first production. One performance of A Christmas Story forced us to have audience members actually hold flashlights to illuminate the final scene when all the lights mysteriously went out. Our second benefit performance had a flawless dress rehearsal and then the next day when we came to the theatre there were no lights. Quick thinking board members rigged up two spot lights and the show was performed with those. This summer's storms and power surges pumped in high wattage to an already weakened system and blew out our stereo, speakers, security system and all the lights in the green room. Due to the age of the dimmers we can no longer find parts quickly, if at all. We can not perform with no lights. We need a new system. This will cost $40,000. Please, we need your help right now. Our first show opens November 4th. If you have never given before, give now so our theatre won't have to close.
